Love of Literature Book Club: Summer 2025 Virtual Reading Program for Black-identifying students

​

Great news! The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) is providing funding for Black-identifying students within their board to join the Love of Book Club program this summer at no cost! This opportunity is available for selected families with students aged 7 to 18.

​

Program highlights

The Love of Literature Foundation Canada is a non-profit dedicated to creating a safe environment for Black youth to connect and explore Black-focused literature with relatable themes. Led by Black facilitators, this book club aims to enhance skills, build confidence, and instill a passion for reading among Black youth.

​When:

The summer session will run from July 5 to 16, 2025, with meetings held on Saturday mornings from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm. All registered participants will receive books and reading materials directly.

​

Where:

The virtual book club will take place on the Zoom platform, and registered participants will be sent the meeting link the program begins.
